There may not be scientific proof, but like magic, BBQ tastes even better in the summer. Visit your old faithful haunts for a slab or ribs this month, or dig in at a new favorite. These are our picks for some Seattle-area BBQ spots you’ll like as much as your kids do.
Drunky’s Two Shoes BBQ
4105 Leary Way NW9655 16th Ave SW
This exuberantly decorated restaurant now has two locations, the original on the industrial side of Fremont and a newer, larger location in White Center. After dinner, let the kids feed goats and chickens and take a mechanical horse ride. Tip: Kids might be tempted to order the hot links, but be forewarned: these links may be too fiery for budding palates. The chicken may be a better bet.
